Abstract
The low level of knowledge and attitudes of men and women married about HIV/AIDS is a risk factor for the transmission of the disease. Sawer ceremony in Sundanese traditional marriage can be a medium of education to insert health messages are packaged in the form of advice or advice for wedding couples and guests who attended the marriage. The study was conducted in the district of Subang, West Java Kalijati June to August 2016. The aim of the research training modules and models of text/poem Sawer about HIV/AIDS through training on the prevention, transmission, detection, and prevention. The study included intervention study utilizing sawer culture. The number of interpreters who joined the training sawer six people, total population. Messages about HIV/AIDS is inserted into the script "Sawer", delivered interpreter sawer the bridal couple and the entire law men and married women who were present at the ceremony Sawer marriage. The data collection was done by interviewing, using a structured questionnaire. The results showed that after training, interpreter Sawer has a very good knowledge of the category of the way of prevention, transmission, detection, and prevention of HIV/AIDS. Outcomes research in the form of training modules and poem/text sawer. The manuscript/poem Sawer training results can be disseminated to other sawer interpreter, so it can be used on any sawer wedding ceremonies.
